Revere ware tea kettle for my parents.Their last tea kettle was another brand and the spout cover broke off after only 6 months of use.It also did something very dangerous - once the water was boiling, as you started to pour, the water would burst out of the spout.Almost like it was exploding out of the tea kettle.

This tea kettle does not do that.You put the tea kettle on the fire, bring to a boil, it whistles, you remove from the heat and pour the water.Simple and safe.

There is only one complaint and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5.The lever that pulls the spout cover open is underneath the handle.My mother says she has to be careful not to touch the HOT tea kettle when opening the cover to pour hot water.Other than that, she and my father are very happy with it.
