(More customer reviews)I have had this tea kettle for 3.5 years and I have really liked it except for 2 reasons: 1) the whistle never worked and 2) the interior is coming off so that every time I scrub it or boil water in it, dark brownish-black water with a nasty chemical flavor comes out. While drinking tea recently, I noticed my tea looked really dark and had a really bad flavor. I tried scrubbing the kettle and tons of black-colored water comes out while I scrub. I thought If I cleaned it well enough this wouldn't be a problem but it just keeps getting worse. It was a great tea pot but now I can't use it anymore!
