(More customer reviews)three people in my family bought this kettle at the same time and within a year, each of the three kettles had broken. the plastic around the whistling spout apparently doesn't hold well to the heat of normal use. Though a lovely and smart looking tea kettle, I would not advise this for someone who wants a lasting use kettle.
