(More customer reviews)I've used the Rival Host Pot Express. It heats the water very quickly. However I was first put off by the rust around the bottom of the boiler plate. I was going to take it back but I guess I was too lazy. I was a little concerned about heating the water in a plastic pot, but I didn't detect any unpleasant taste or odor but I was still concerned. I need not be concerned any longer however since the pot is now leaking. Not just leaking but leaking through the wiring and out the bottom. I won't be using it any longer. I just spent several hours looking for a nice all glass unit, but the reviews seem to support my fears of bad taste, or smell, or quality of the units. I may just get a hot plate and a glass pot. Oh well.
