(More customer reviews)I just purchased this whistling teakettle and I love it.When I purchased it I was a little unsure about the whistle and quality of this kettle.Little was said about either in the description.I am happy to report that I have used the kettle numerous times and it has performed great.It has a nice sturdy feel and the stem, handle and whistle stay cool to the touch.My family and I really enjoy the whistle. It sounds a bit like a harmonica.It starts at one pitch and then another pitch chimes in. It's nice and loud so I can hear it while I'm in the other room. I'm able to easily remove the whistle without getting burned by the steam.I love the wide opening under the stem to add water.The only thing I would possible change about the kettle is the stem.The lid to the kettle seals well and it takes a little tug to get it off. Only time will tell how well the stem will hold up. I was looking at spending between $60-$80 for a Le Creuset teakettle with a lot of personality but noticed that many reviews said the kettles were rusting or had a weak whistle. I took a chance with this one and so far I'm glad I did.
