The handle is soft and easy to grip - even when boiling water.When water boils the kettle makes a sound reminiscent of a train whistle.

The button for flipping the spout cap is easy to depress and positioned close to the top.

We left the tea pot on for longer than usual and found that we could still lift the pot without burning our hands.We recommend this tea pot over a similar Caphalon tea pot model because it not only looks good, feels good to the touch, but is easy to control when full.Unlike the Cahphalon the grip does not melt and you cannot be burned by the metal underneath the grip.It protects the entire length of the handle.
