(More customer reviews)I had seen a kettle just like this one at a friend's house---but a 3 quart size---and was inspired to order one. . When I received the 1 1/2 quart kettle, I was disappointed at first. Then after checking the WMF website, I discovered they no longer make the 3 quart size.My friend had bought his from a dealer and it was obviously an older model. I have realized know that 1 1/2 quart is large enough for mostrequirements of boiling water.
If I need more, I can just bring out my larger kettle.This kettle is a work of art and looks great on the stove.
